According to “Dayton Daily News,” construction on Miami Valley Hospital South‘s $60 million expansion has begun.

The hospital, located in Centerville, Ohio, and under Premier Health’s network, is adding 170,000 square feet of new space. The expansion includes a new spine and joint center, six new operating rooms and 20 additional inpatient beds. Construction is expected to be completed late 2018.

The expansion will mean a new spine and joint center with expanded sports medicine, sports performance and pain center services, Premier said when it broke ground in May. There will be six operating rooms added, bringing the site’s total to 16, and the expansion will also include 20 additional inpatient beds.
