Several interesting reports this week in Building Design and Construction @BDCNetwork on the growth of the U.S economy.

In one article entitled: “Nonresidential building starts and spending should see solid gains in 2016: Gilbane report,” (http://bit.ly/1XlzPAa ) its says that nonresidential building is forecast to increase by 8.5% this year to 222,764.

The report highlights spending projections for 2016 which include:

  • 13.6% growth for Educational buildings
  • A 13.8% rise for Healthcare construction
  • 22.5% growth for Amusement and Recreational buildings.
  • A 6% spending increase for Retail space

Another article entitled: “Cushman & Wakefield is bullish on U.S. economy and its property markets,” (http://bit.ly/20XMmvI) also states that there are positive signs for construction and investment growth in warehouses, offices, and retail.
